Following the Christmas holiday, I visited the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). MOMA was established in 1929 with the goal of helping people understand and enjoy visual arts. Its current mission is:
The Museum of Modern Art connects people from around the world to the art of our time. We aspire to be a catalyst for experimentation, learning, and creativity, a gathering place for all, and a home for artists and their ideas.
Eight photos from my visit follow:
Visitors admire Claude Monet’s Water Lilies
The Eternal City (Peter Blume)
The Persistence of Memory (Salvador Dali)
Girl before a Mirror (Pablo Picasso)
Marilyn Monroe, I (James Rosenquist)
MOMA truly is a great place to explore modern art! The variety of exhibits there is always so exciting. Did you have a favorite piece this time? Popular Song About Tupac
