Already, there has been a degree of panic shopping in the New York City area with store shelves stripped bare of anti-bacterial soap, disinfectant, and a range of paper goods.
Just north of New York City, Westchester County had among the nation’s largest cluster of cases. By mid-afternoon yesterday, Westchester County had reported 82 cases, second only to the 83 reported in King County, Washington.
At this time, it is important that people avoid rumor and focus on factual information. Credible sources include:
New York State Department of Health
U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
