Colleges and universities are increasingly looking at post-graduation outcomes to more fully assess their impact on the lives of their students. Wage and employment data can be made available by the Department of Labor in some states. Wage and employment data can also be collected through surveys.
The New York Federal Reserve also provides a web page that deals with labor market outcomes for recent college graduates. The web page makes it possible to examine the unemployment rate, underemployment rate, wages, among other variables for recent college graduates. This data can be used as a baseline. It also allows for comparison with other workers. This data can be downloaded in Excel format.
