Parts of Australia, southern Africa, and South America continued to broil in extreme heat, as November was off to the warmest start on record globally. On November 11th, Miami recorded a low temperature of 80°, by far its latest 80° or above minimum temperature on record.
Southeastern New York State saw colder air overspread the region. Saturday and Sunday were fine fall days, with highs in the lower and middle 50s and Saturday and chillier mid-40s on Sunday. Some fall scenes are below.
