During the week of May 21st, smoke from large wildfires that had consumed some 2 million acrs in Canada’s Alberta Province moved through the New York City region. The smoke peaked on May 24th. On May 24th, the thick smoke obscured the sunrise making it possible to faintly view several sunspots.
