Following New York City’s fourth warmest spring on record, the first week of June was the 13th warmest on record. If some of the computer guidance is accurate, June 2024 could rank among the 10 warmest Junes on record.

Despite the early warmth, the weekend of June 8-9 started with blue skies, brilliant sunshine, and a refreshing breeze. As a result, the New York Botanical Garden was about as picturesque as it gets during the summer.
