Photo Processing Using Artificial Intelligence

PRINT AS PDF

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has continued to advance. It can create images, write short stories, search the Internet, generate simulations, and devise research questions, among many other functions. It can also allow one to create custom processing of photos.

Doing so is a trial-and-error process. Using ChatGPT, one often gets square images. It takes multiple iterations to ensure that the images have their desired aspect (horizontal-vertical) ratio. Nevertheless, some of the effects are quite impressive.

For purposes of illustration, I created a texture called “Ethereal Flower.” I then applied the texture to three photos I took at the New York Botanical Garden. The results are below.

Viburnum

Tulips

Cosmos Flower

The “Ethereal Flower” texture sounds stunning—AI’s ability to turn personal photos into something painterly is fascinating. I’ve been exploring similar creative crossovers at NookTee, where some designs draw from abstract textures and botanical forms too.

This is pretty cool! I never thought about using AI for photo textures. The “Ethereal Flower” effect on those Botanical Garden pics looks really neat. Might have to give this a try sometime!
